Tark Grunte Sutkiene is taking over the Luthuanian arm of Baltic Legal Solutions, creating one of the biggest corporate law firms in the Baltic States.The merger doubles the size of Estonian firm Tark’s Vilnius office which will see more than 90 lawyers work in Luthuania and bring the number of lawyers to over 150 in the three Baltic states. Eugenija Sutkiene will become managing partner of whilst Baltic Legal Solutions Lithuania managing partner Gintautas Bartkus will be Chairman of the Board of Tark Grunte Sutkiene.
Evolving market
According to Ms Sutkiene, this step has been made in pursuing the long-term development strategies of both the firms. ‘We strive to create a new model of provision of legal services to meet demands of the evolving market. At the same time, we continue to offer and further improve our exceptionally efficient client service,’ she said. Baltic Legal Solutions has a long history of mergers and at one point was part of the Ernst & Young legal network. Tark Grunte Sutkiene was set up in Estonia in 1991 after the country regained its independence.
