Labelled 'the Danish answer to Ikea', Tiger Retail Limited was brought over to the UK by former photographer Philip Bier and his wife Emma Bier in 2005.The Biers held 50 per cent of the shares in Tiger Retail Limited and ran Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s stores in London and the South East.
Deal details
RPC acted for Zebra, who previously held the remaining 50 per cent of the shares in Tiger Retail Limited, in its purchase of the Biers' stake in the company. Following the purchase, Zebra now boasts complete ownership of Tiger Retail Limited. Recently re-launched as Flying Tiger Copenhagen, Zebra A/S now has more than 740 shops in 30 countries, and employs more than 4,000 people. The retailer has a 44-store presence in London and the South East.
